Things can't get any worse than this. Now even a country like Bangladesh has better Universities than Burma. Please look at their Engineering Universities in the pictures below.
At a time when other nations are making progress, its sad to see that SPDC is turning Burma's Engineering Institutes into Prisons and Detention Centers.

Why Than Shwe will Fall

In March of 2001, the Taliban of Afganistan started the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddha statues by dynamiting the figures, which provoked international outrage.

I have also heard of many stories of people disrespecting the Buddha. I have also heard that their life never really turned out great or successful.

The point is this. Buddha preached his followers to try best to cultivate loving kindness to all sentinent beings. He, himself, won over a lot of his fierce foes by showing only Metta and compassion towards them. In the end, those enemies only brought harm to themselves.

So as the saying goes "what goes around comes around", those that cause injustice to others will eventually pay. I believe that there are some unexplained, extraordinary forces out there to make sure that this happens, its only a matter of time. If anyone shows ill feelings and wishes harm towards others who only shows kindness, they will get a taste of their own medecine.

Than Shwe, the dictator of Burma, and his goons have acted in a similar way to disgrace Buddha and his sons, the venerable monks. Having done so, Than Shwe and the SPDC have vividly portrayed themselves as being no better than the Taliban. The people of Burma will continue to practice what the buddha preached and not wish Than Shwe any harm. But the nature will take its course. Than Shwe and the SPDC's days are numbered. Ne Win died a disgraceful death, Khin Nyunt won't do much better, however, we pray that Than Shwe and the SPDC's fall is a more graceful one.
